That pic of the door jamb with your sprayout of the exterior color does look good. Not as dark looking as your first pic of the interior color.

Sorry I can't help on your paint quantity. I'm going with single stage. I bought 1 gallon and 1 quart of the exterior color. Keeping my fingers crossed that that's enough.
