Some of the pulling kits have zig-zag wire that gets welded on to pull on, and have attachments with groups of hooks to do a linear pull. Here's a kit with the gizmos for linear pulling. I wasn't able to find the wires individually in a quick search. Disclaimer - I have not used anything like this.
