I'd suggest you put some mileage on the engine before you start doing anything else to it. Other than being annoying, a noisy lifter isn't going to do any real damage. I'd much rather have a few valves a little loose than have them tightened up enough to cause a miss, or maybe burn a valve becvause it can't seat fully and ends up getting overheated.
