| | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 595 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 595 | guys! lets say you have 2 87' s10's one 2wd,one 4x4.we know that the frames are different from the doors foward. are the frames the same doors back? i know the rearends are different widths but are the frame rails the same.reason i ask is a 52' ad 3100 has 117" wb. so to match that you need a std cad long box s-10 and most s-10's were short box's which the wheelbase is to short. can a guy use the 2wd front frame section with 4x4 rear frame section stretched to correct wheelbase also giving you the correct rear end (4x4) as the 2wd rear is too narrow for AD trucks.
