| | | | Joined: Oct 2019 Posts: 131 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2019 Posts: 131 | Hi, my '37 1/2 ton has a re-cored radiator, re-cored heater core, new water pump and new 160 degree thermostat, all done this year.
The engine runs at approximately 170 degrees at idle (it's 34 degrees in the garage today) down from approximately 180 degrees this summer.
The heater hoses are hot but the radiator hoses are just warm. Sticking my high tech temp sensor (my right forefinger) in the coolant
at the radiator cap I find it's lukewarm. I also don't see any circulation at the top of the radiator.
Is the thermostat stuck?
