Hello Everyone,
I am looking for some guidance. I have a recent purchase of a 1951 3100 with original 216, 6 volt system.
The truck has not been driven all year due to some fuel issues. I had disconnected the battery while replacing the fuel tank.
Upon reinstalling the battery, I realized that I had not taken notice if it was connected Positive ground or negative ground when I had removed it.
I know these vehicles were originally positive ground, but I believe it may have been changed to negative ground (not sure)
Anyway, the battery was dead, so I had it recharged, and I am ready to reinstall it. I have heard that one has to polarize the regulator before
connecting the battery. Is this true and, if so, how do I do it? And can I make it negative ground, if it was not so already?
