If someone has had a problem with a RemFlex gasket on a 216/235/261 engine please let us know the results.
(no need to tell us about other engines)
Also, let us know if you had the head and/or the manifold mating surfaces re-surfaced.
Let us know who did the re-surfacing.
Let us know if the re-surfacing on the manifolds was done with the manifolds bolted/torqued together.
Also,
1. let us know if you used alignment rings and/or adapter rings;
and,
2. let us know if the rings were first "shaved" to fit the new less-deep depths of the "joint" holes
("shaving" should be done to decrease for the lost metal when the mating surfaced were resurfaced).
I do not know if alignment/mating rings are needed/used with the RemFlex gasket?
