Of course, people would often buy the cab and chassis from their dealer and then have a local manufacturer place any sort of special bed or body on it. My COE was manufactured in Kansas City, worked in eastern South Dakota and has a grain bed on it from Sioux City, Iowa. The hydraulic lift on the bed is from Cherokee, Iowa. So, the buyer would source the equipment locally.
