I couldn't take a suitable picture of my truck; too many wires and cables in the way. So I mocked up my extra parts. I glass beaded the part you are missing, coating it in a light spray lacquer so it won't flash rust. There is light pitting from the rust but it is entirely serviceable.
In the photo, the parts are posed as if you are looking at it from under the dash from the passenger side. Front is to the right and rear to the left. The part you need has a bigger hole to the front; that is for a bolt that acts like a hinge, that attaches to the cab just forward of the vent. The rear has a smaller hole; that is for a spring which attaches to the cab.

You may need the hinge bolts that hold the vent to the cab. As I mentioned above the Filling Station has small carriage bolts. If you look at Jim Carter he has bolts that have the proper shoulder on them to that the vent pivots on a shaft, rather than on the threads. He lists them back to 1939 and I don't know if they would fit the 37 or if they are even necessary. You could try a hardware store bolt first to see if they would work and would save some $$.

As a new person on this forum I think you need 5 posts before you can send a private message. You can message me and we can arrange to get this part to you. The price would be less than the postage!
