That engine would be one of the toughest small blocks to convert. The ignition is run off of the crankshaft (at the front of the engine), the waterpump is driven by the camshaft and would take a special intake to use a carb. After that, making a clutch set-up work with your old truck would be the next headache. Best way to fit it would be to use the engine and trans with an aftermarket stand alone computer system to control them (if they make one).
That all said, those engines do run very well for the CID they have,
