George, sounds like a nice package. Your best bet for heads might be the Dart Iron Eagles if you want to go cast iron or the Edelbrock aluminum heads work well if you want to spend the money. Either way the heads can be ordered with a small or large chamber to keep the compression in check (the Vortecs are about 64cc, they might give you trouble). I understand about being on hold too, my Nova has been in the garage for 4 years due to a health issue and then a rust problem I am trying to sort out and then I am trying to build my 69 C10 to tow the Nova to the dragstrip. I live about 40 miles from the track and if one little thing goes wrong, you have no way home if you drive the car, I learned this the hard way. Good luck with the engine sound like you have a great start, I like solid lifter cams!!!
