What a great town you hail from! The points are only the 'trigger' for the secondary voltage. It is the secondary voltage that would be the hi-output value, so it wouldn't affect points.
Save your dough..unless you are running tons of compression and making it tough for a conventional coil to fire the plug, you are wasting money (IMHO).
You can check spark until the cows come home...the real test is out on the highway with your number 13 mashed to the metal. How does it perform on the real world dyno?
