Rustyrod has the right idea-the kit is designed to work together. And the main problem with Holley carbs is that they're so adjustable,and being tinkerers by nature,rodders tend to adjust a lot of stuff they don't know the actual function of. I talked to a tech at the Holey Carb trailer at the races a couple of years ago,and he said 98% of what he had to do to "un-f**k" the Holley carbs brought to him consisted of adjusting EVERYTHING back to specs and replacing the occasional power valve or accelerator pump. Personally,I've never had any problem with Holleys except I could never get better than 10 miles per gallon with one.
