Hi All,
I have a 250 chevy engine that has powered a sawmill for years that needs an overhaul. A friend can bore it for me but he doesn't have a torque plate for the six. He would do it for free and he says not having a torque plate would not matter for the six. Does it matter? Getting it bored by the local shop is a little over a hundred bucks and I wouldn' mind spending it if it matters, but I can always use a hundred bucks if it doesn't. For example, I could buy some rotors for a brake conversion... Let me know what you think about the torque plate.
Thanks! Rick in VA
