The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Engine Shop clean up head using brake cleaner?

How difficult is removing the valves? Is it something that a fast-learning, somewhat mechanically competent first-timer could do?

SUPPOSEDLY the head had been rebuilt within the last 5-7k miles, but the valve deposits say otherwise. I wanted to remove the valves to check the guides and seals.
