Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 4,261 | Chevy is the make! I used the original tank. Welded up some pinholes. Then I used the Eastwood kit to clean it out and seal it. Then I used some of their tank / zinc paint for the outside.
Made my own bulkhead plates for the fuel pump assembly. Cannibalized some parts from a GM in-tank pump unit. Mostly the bottom plate that the in-tank pump sits on.
3/8" tubing on the pressure side, 5/16" tubing on the return side. -6 and -5, JIC fittings. Except for the fuel filter which has the o-ring fittings.
Most all the parts came from McMaster except the JIC bulkhead fittings and the -5 stuff. That came from a hose specialty store. The tubing isn't as straight as I would have liked it as it came from McMaster in a coil. | | |
