Well if you are hanging on to the 307 because its original in the Camaro maybe you want to do the same with the 265.
If you aren't expecting hot rod performance I don't see any reason not to stay with the 265. If you're going to pull a big trailer with this truck you might be disappointed, but just running around empty it should do just fine, and even loaded it should do the job.
But then if it were me I'd put a big block in it.
