As a minor aside/aspect of this
let-it-be as it was born-as desire/attitude (except for a change to another newer/bigger stovebolt engine):
If you need a USB charger for low-power-draw modern devices (phone, GPS, radio, ear-phones, radio, . . .), supposedly, USB adapter for the 6v lighter socket charges those USB-plugged devices?
Has anyone tried a USB adapter like this?
