For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 24 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 24 | thanks, both helpful replies. ..i started learning about them after i read a small article about them in Hot Rod... hydraboost was standard brake on 73-87 chevy duallies..they are in the boneyards ...i read an article on how the swap of the steering box at the same time was advisable..perhaps this solved plumbing issues at little to no cost... hydraulic fittings and hoses can be expensive... as are the new hydraboost units... as it has been some time since my initial reading- I could not remember if the brake was fed from the pump or box... Wrenchbender... do you have a brand name or could you be more specific on the suppliers of adapter kits for the steering box... I believe I will go ahead and upgrade to 1 ton box if it will fit... complete system from Chev/C30... no headaches on compatibility | | |
