A far as Chevy, it would have to be a 4x4 and the springs may be wider. As I said the Chevys did not have leaf rear. Removing that at a junk yard may be challenging. You need air or electricity. Hand tools can work if you know how. If the bed is still on the donor, hand tools will be next to impossible. A 70's hanger may work with some trimming.
The front of the leaf mount is the hanger, the rear is the shackle/shackle hanger.
