I have a 1965 GMC fleetside shortbed truck that i have owned since 1977. I drove him for 6yrs and parked him. I have started restoring him by stripping everything down to the frame and rear end only. This frame has a leaf spring rear end. By the SN this is a 6 cyl -1/2 ton - 115" wheelbase - assembly plant Pontiac Mi - model code 1964-66 - gvw 5,0000 lbs. Looking in LMS and Brothers catalogs I can't find anything listing a 2 wheel drive truck with rear leaf springs. I have listed when I bought the truck to give a history of the truck. I knew of the truck for 3 yrs prior to buying and am relatively certain that it has not been modified. The shape it was in would not reflect anyones TLC having been applied( rough shape ). I need a bracket that bolts to the frame that the leaf spring bolts to left side front. I have seen cabs listed on ebay in Arizona that are rust free. Anyone know the name of junkyard's in that area. I have lots of questions but need to get this frame issue fixed before proceeding.
