What year 235, Jeff? Auto choke or manual choke? Carter carburetors are superior to Rochesters, but there were no manual choke versions produced for any 235 newer than 1957 by Carter. The 3211s was Carter's only carburetor for the 235 from 1957 until 1962. I consider the 3211s to be an excellent choice. Some like the Zenith, but none of the Zeniths were designed nor produced for the 235 and they can be pretty costly. So you'd have to use a Zenith made for a different engine (GMC for example).
