All,

I rebuilt my 1949 Chevy Truck Carburetor (Carter W-1) that did not run in ~ 5 years. I removed lots of rust and gunk; I clean it using carb cleaner. After I put it back together and installed it ran good for a bit and it started to spilling gasoline thru the metering rod housing. I took it apart again put it back together and it is doing the same thing. I’m no mechanic but I know how to follow instructions. Any ideas what can be causing this?
