It came out of an old farmer's barn in IN.
To be totally honest, I bought it with the intention of making a really cool tow vehicle for the camper. I was going to drop it on some Dodge1 ton running gear with a 5.9 Cummins and 5 speed and have the coolest toy hauler around.
But......once I got her home and really started crawling in under and around and saw how totally original it was and all of the sheet metal is still so perfect? I think I am going to have to go with a slightly modified restoration. I think she will be put back to almost original. I will keep the old 248 as long as it will run. I hate split wheel so those have to go. I will likely upgrade the wiring, what little there is of it. And I will definitely add a dual pot master cylinder / booster unit. Really, other than that? clean it, paint it, rhino line the really vulnerable bits and drive the snot out of her every chance I get.
