1950 Chevy 3100 stock. Has anyone cut the "Flexible Fuel Line" that is connected to the fuel tank petcock and put an In-Line filter there? Leaving both ends of the flexible hose still attached. My truck has the Solid fuel lines from the "flexible" fuel line along frame to the AC fuel pump. Then it's a solid fuel line to the carburetor (Stock I believe). Which is how I would like to keep it. The Dual AC fuel/Vaccum pump has a small "filter" screen but I have now found "rust" sediment in my Carter carburetor. (Micro crap? left over from cleaning out the tank last year). Thank you in advance! Todd ***Update I removed the Flex Line, (2 years old) seems in good condition once I cut it open. I will try this in-line see thru to see how much "sediment " gets caught in it. This all began after having carburetor problems on and off (was not constant). Thought too much PSI from fuel pump, But it tested at 3.5 PSI. Carburetor had sediment at bottom when i pulled. I can imagine some making needle stick open then pass through.
