My new 1950 3100 is stuck in 3rd gear.
I started by reading a lot of verg good post here mostly involving linkage and shift box issues. I've made the adjustments per the manual.

I have disconnected both shift rods from the shift box and am still stuck in 3rd gear.

I am not stuck in two gears because I can drive the truck......carefully, in third.
Clutch works fine.
Put it on the lift. Held one rear tire from moving. A buddy rocked the other rear wheel back and forth while I snatched around on both shift levers ( still disconnected from shift box). Neither one will budge.

I'm about to pull off the side cover of the transmission where the shift rods enter and look for bent shift forks, or fouled up detent balls etc.

Since this is my first 3100 I thought I would seek the advice of those who have been there before me. Experience is a wonderful thing and I bet someone out there already knows what is wrong.
