One way to interpret your first message is that on the rack, your truck turns 25° in both directions, but that with the weight added, you're not getting this sort of turn. Am I overinterpreting your problem?
If not, could the steering gets hung up on something when the weight of the truck compressess the front end? I'm not sure what would/could do that!!
