Canvas bags works for me, especially since I have someone here with a sewing machine.
But I have taken the topic off course slightly. The OP wanted to know how the tools were stored when the truck was originally delivered. It seems a bit of a mystery. I thought the owner's manual would explain how to change a tire and store the tools but it doesn't.
