I found this discussion both informative and interesting. But in my part of the country, before trucks became passenger cars, the jack is stored either on the cab floor or in the bed on top of the spare tire and any tools are in the glovebox, on the passenger floor or in a toolbox sliding around in the bed! They are easier to find/get to than any factory location. Just had to comment John
