block casting 3769716 is a 235 truck 1958-62, or a car 1961-62 - almost always with head 3836848
but.... the serial number is not like i would expect
could it be that its a USA cast block that found it's way up into Canada and got a Canadian engine serial.
the serial number format in Canada has virtually no information about the engine, it can be just 6 numbers, or 1 - 2 letters followed by 6 numbers.
if you post a photo of the serial number stamping, i can let you know for sure
GM Canada vs GM USA use different fonts stamps on the blocks, so there is no question who stamped it
do your 6 and 9s curl their tails or are they straight?
