I think if you are going to load it near it's intended GVWR then you would still want the factory springs to handle the weight, big truck air ride systems are designed to carry the weight without springs. If you are keeping springs on the truck and adding air bags then each component has to handle the weight. I have no experience adding air ride to any vehicle.
