You may have hit the Jack Pot with that one. Can't tell for sure, but it looks to have Dayton wheels on it, and the larger, flared out wheel well fenders, of a 400, 450, or 470 series truck. It has vent door glass, so if it's a 51 model, with pull down door handles, it will have a 270ci. GMC inline 6, and if a 52, or 53 model,with push button door handles, it will have a 302ci. GMC inline 6 cylinder engine. If a 450, or 470 series, it will have a Clark 5 spd., tranny, and a Eaton, electric shift 2 spd., rear axle. Nice truck. Check for a tag, on the back of the glove box lid. If there's one present, it will tell all about the trucks spec.s A 400 series, is a 2 1/2 ton, 450 series, is a 3 ton, and 470 series, is a 3 1 /2 ton. hope it's a case of mistaken identity. be a shame, if someone put a 292 Chevy engine, in that truck.
