Here is a shot of what's needed to get a "show" fit from a 1954 repop hood. One has to consider that it's a reproduction hood being mated to a reproduction grill. There is very bad sheet metal such as a no name supplier of Model A fenders out of Houston, Texas to the quite good sheet metal parts from Brookville for the same car. We've done them all and I believe a few extra bucks for quality save on the final bill. As far as price it seems some fortunate ones can put 100k out like we regular folks can part with a Ben Franklin. We did a $260k 40 Ford coupe that was a Great Eight Car at the Ridler Awards and after winning a number of trophies it now sits gathering dust.
Left front corner split, massaged to fit, re-welded.
