235s changed between 1941 and 1962 (with big changes in 1954). The answers above are for '54-'62 235s (and most likely your engine is from those years). Also, car engines had some differences from truck engines - maybe someone knows if there are pan/pump differences (over those years, between car and truck 235 engines).
Once you know the year of your engine, you could buy a Shop Manual (from any repo parts vendor or on eBay). Engine tune-up and rebuilding are covered in the Shop Manual during the years of the 235s.
