Second, I've got the bellhousing to swap engines, but what kind of modifications to the engine mounts will I have to do? Are there engine mounts out there that I could use?
If your basement motor really is a 235 I would stick with the 250 or look for another motor.
The 235 is designed to be mounted at the front and to the bell-housing. The '67 truck is designed for a side-mount motor.
