OK, for the reason as to WHY I have a 235 sitting around doing nothing, here's a bit of history. Back in the day (around 66-67), when my dad was in high school and lived in the Chicago 'burbs, he bought his dad's 67 Bel Air (235, 3spd column shift). Being a hot-rodder, and not being able to find a suitable V8, he rodded the 235. It now has a 2-1bbl intake modified to take corvair carbs, headers, ported and polished head, 3/4 race cam, 10:1 compression, high volume oil pump and he used to run a dual exhaust. Now, it's sitting in the basement languishing (he found a 283 eventually and threw that in before he sold the car) totally complete, minus the carbs, which I don't think would be that hard to find.

On the other hand, the truck now has a 250 that's kinda shady. It doesn't have any knocks or rattles, but it's charging system is so-so, it needs a new distributor, rockers and has a burned valve, and the stock 1bbl carb. As it is, it runs pretty good, and has quite a bit of power.

I suppose I have 2 questions -

First, which engine would you put in my 67 C10?
Second, I've got the bellhousing to swap engines, but what kind of modifications to the engine mounts will I have to do? Are there engine mounts out there that I could use?

I really appreciate your time. Thanks.
