Good point, David. It might be OK to swap positions for a short time, but I wouldn't recommend it long term. Apparently, Bendix brakes aren't the only ones with primary and secondary shoes, but with the shoes anchored at the bottom on the Hucks, I doubt if there would be as much of a difference in stopping ability with the shoes reversed as with the floating-bottom Bendix system.
