I saved a long bed today from the scrap yard. Several questions.
1. The front piece (close to cab) has the one large bolt at the top (both sides). The nut is locked on there and just spins. How do I remove?
2. The very end (tailgate) looks to be welded on at bottom left & right. Was this common or? I guess it does not come apart?
I took the entire bed assembled home.
Just trying to figure it out.

I believe the long bed was off a 1951 truck.
