What is your compression ratio?
What size carb in CFM?
Single or dual-plane intake?
What tranny? Stall speed?
What rear gear ratio?
Desired powerband in RPM?
Smooth or Choppy idle?
Vehicle weight?
A 234/244 at .050" is gonna have a fairly choppy idle at about 800-1,000 RPM. You'd need at least 9:1 compresson to get good performance at lower RPMs.
