A friend of mine is running '60 Farm Truck plates on his. He apparently wasn't aware that you couldn't run them, and neither was the clerk at the tax office.
I'm hoping my clerk will do the same. An obsure nuianse of the law I am sure that no one is familiar with. I'll give it a shot. Honestly, I want to register it as a farm truck, as that is how it will be used. I have the credentials to get farm truck plates, so I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope it works. If it doesn't, I'll just run straight plates and swap them out if I go to display it at a tractor show or somewhere else.
Honestly, as long as Mr. State Trooper can call it in and get an owner, I wouldn't think it would matter.
Hoping though that it will work as I bought a set of YOM Farm Truck plates for my dad for Christmas. He is having my Grandfathers 66 restored. He was proud as a peacock with those plates.
