I have a 4' fluorescent light fixture over my workbench in the garage. It was getting difficult to start with this cold weather and always seemed kind of dim to me.
Today, I headed out to one of the big box stores and bought a couple type B LED T8 replacement lamps. I removed the ballast and re-wired the fixture as per the instructions. The new LEDs are 2200 lumens and 4100K cool white. What a tremendous difference the LEDs make.
