....and happy to join this support group. I have just recently caught this bug.....did my chasing of "tail pipe" and now have a couple of trucks to work on. I have a 53 Chevy 1/2 ton 5 window, it runs fine and once in awhile me and my "little man" take it out for a drive. But lately I feel that I'm being pulled to what some call the "dark side" and wanting to lower the truck, IFS, well I'm sure you guys know.
Anyways a friend of mine has some parts I'm thinking about using and would like your input to see if it's feasible, or even let me know if I should start buying my aspirin by the pound.
First I have a chance of getting a Corvette front and rear suspension, I believe it's off a 75 or right around in there. He also has a LT1 from the state Highway Patrol, which is I believe out of a 92 Caprice. Has anyone installed this type of suspension and give some insight to what I'm in for? Or even point me in the right direction for information would be appreciated.
