I wasn't able to find anything in my shop manual or on here or on google about this:

I understand this is the correct cab floor pan for my truck:

Am I correct in assuming that the access hole to the battery (narrow and rectangular on right) was meant for inspection purposes only and the battery had to be removed from underneath the truck? Doesn't look like a battery fill fit through the top.

Also - do I understand correctly that this is the right battery tray?:
