The PO did that arrangement with the AC and Alt ... I believe the Alt is always on the pass-side on a 350, but I'm guessing he set it up that way because the hoses from the AC condenser are on the driver-side and it just made more sense.
I doubt it makes any difference at all ... I'm sure it's just a matter of what makes sense to your setup.
