I'm "one of those guys"- my 50 is now on a 73 chassis.
Used to drive it to the local pond and back, now we drive all over New England and beyond. I feel safer on the highway with more zip (350, 5 spd) and radials, directionals,belts and BRAKES! I'd have a hard time changing a premo truck but ours had been "altered" considerably by PO.
