old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 33 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 33 | Hello Everyone, so I just wrapped up mounting a healthy little small block chevy into my 36 chevy and now that it has alot of "Go Boy" it needs to have alot of "Whoa Boy" as of now the truck has hydraulic manual drums... but a previous owner has gotten into this poor machine and changed a bunch of stuff around... for example, when I got the truck it had a dropout positraction unit from a 57-64 chevy passenger car... it still has the solid front axle but from what I couldn't tell ya, someone cut the front axle in half and either shortened it or lengenthed it and welded it back together... the front hubs are 5 lug 4 3/4" bolt circle... does anybody have a clue where these suspension bits came from? or does anybody know how to convert to discs perhapse? HELP!! come check out pictures of the engine swap... www.mykkhannan.bravehost.com/projects.html | | |
