| | | | Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 1,989 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 1,989 | All of the governors I've seen have been external and effect the throttle linkage or throttle shaft. If you can operate the throttle by hand and the butterfly opens and closes then your on the way to a useful carb. You may be able to modify it to suit your needs. Internals should not be any different than non-governor. The governors I have worked on are spring loaded, a small spring works to open the throttle and the throttle linkage allows it to open, vacuum opposes the spring.
