Check the weep hole at the bottom of the water pump casting. It's not uncommon for a pump that has been dry for years to have a seep leak. SOMETIMES the leak will seal itself up with a little run time. Unless it's gushing, go ahead and fire the engine up- - - -things will get better- - - -ort worse- - - -but unless you run things dry a few seep leaks won't hurt during an initial run-in. Just put a big catch pan under the engine to keep the floor clean.
