I glued my channel in and its held now for 5 years or more. I did the driver side first and it took me an hour and a few tries to get it in and to get the window glass fitted in the wing vent channel as I had to sort of "twist" the frame a little.....and naturally, the other side went smooth as silk.
I can look at mine later but its my opinion that if that is all your replacing you can do it without taking the assembly out. | | |
