The first thing to do is make a plan. Get some catalogs and look up some prices. A good way is to make up a spreadsheet, list all the obvious stuff first. IE: Engine, transmission, differential, wheels & tires, radiator, gas tank, brakes, interior, glass, body panels, paint, etc.
Then list the items you can reasonably do and what you need to send out. Don't be surprised when the estimated numbers climb above $30K and you haven't even started yet. There are unfinished projects all over the internet, Craigs List, Auto Trader, etc that are a result of people getting in over their heads, no time, or space. It looks like a great project but as mentioned previously, it's time and money.
